'Raees' a pure work of fiction, say makers

'Raees' a pure work of fiction, say makers

The makers of superstar Shah Rukh Khan's much-awaited entertainer "Raees" have said the film is not based on any real life story and is a pure work of fiction.

The clarification comes in the wake of reports that Shah Rukh's character in the film is inspired by about Gujarat-based gangster Abdul Latif.

"We are overwhelmed with the positive and encouraging response showered on the trailer of 'Raees' and we certainly hope that the pouring of love shall continue upon the release of the film as well," read a joint statement issued on behalf of Shah Rukh, Ritesh Sidhwani, Farhan Akhtar and director Rahul Dholakia.

The statement further read: "In view of certain media reports that claim that the film 'Raees' is based on a real life story and rumours to that effect being circulated, we take this opportunity to clarify that the story of the film 'Raees' is a pure work of fiction, Not based on any person; living or dead.

"All those making such claims, will realise it themselves, once they see the film. It is an imagined crime thriller set against the backdrop of Gujarat."

Set in 1980s Gujarat, "Raees" tells the story of a bootlegger whose business is thwarted by a tough policeman. The film is produced by Excel Entertainment and Red Chillies Entertainment.

The film also features Nawazuddin Siddiqui and marks the Bollywood debut of Pakistani actress Mahira Khan.

'Befikre' mints Rs. 34 crore in opening weekend!

'Befikre' mints Rs. 34 crore in opening weekend!

The film industry seems to be recovering from the demonetisation blow - slowly but surely. Last Friday's release, Befikre starring Ranveer Singh and Vaani Kapoor, managed to collect Rs 34.36 crore in its first weekend.

Directed by Aditya Chopra, the rom-com has mostly done well in urban centres. Trade expert Amod Mehra said the film was expected to perform way better: "Unlike the filmmaker's previous films which had an universal appeal, Befikre caters only to the youth. The collections aren't up to the mark as you don't expect such an ordinary opening from a director of his calibre. The weekdays will be the real test for the film."

Trade pundit Komal Nahta agrees that Befikre has underperformed considering Chopra's past record although the collections remained consistent over the first three days. "Only the youth and the multiplex audience have given a thumbs-up to the film. It is likely to recover production costs, but only if it holds its own during week days," he pointed out.

Box office analyst Amul Mohan echoes his colleagues. "You normally associate these numbers with young directors and not a seasoned filmmaker."

Salman is supporting himself with his production banner!

Superstar Salman Khan says he will support independent movies and filmmakers with his production banner if he likes the subject, but for now he is "supporting myself".

Salman came out with his own production banner -- Salman Khan Films -- in 2014, and co-produced "Dr. Cabbie". He also backed his project "Bajrangi Bhaijaan", and "Hero". The actor is now backing his third collaboration with director Kabir Khan in "Tubelight".

Asked if he will ever support independent filmmakers, Salman told IANS: "I'm supporting myself right now."

"If I really like something, like how we liked 'Chillar Party', then I will take over the film," he added.

The superstar, who is busy with "Tubelight", went on to say that he will dive into the project by comparing it with a moving train.

"I will board a moving train provided the train is good, comfortable and fast."

After making an impressive mark on the box office with "Sultan" this year, the actor is seen on the small screen as a host of reality TV show "Bigg Boss 10", which is aired on Colors channel.

Did You Know? Who was the first choice for SRK's Josh

Did You Know? Who was the first choice for SRK's Josh

Film director Mansoor Khan says actor Aamir Khan refused to do "Josh" because of superstar Shah Rukh Khan's role in the 2000 film.

Mansoor, who directed Aamir in 1988 hit romantic drama "Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak", added that he still thinks that Aamir and Shah Rukh were the perfect casting for the film.

"I still think Aamir and Shah Rukh were the perfect casting for the film. However, Aamir refused to play that role. That's his choice," Mansoor said.

He added: "Aamir wanted to change his image also. He no longer wanted to play that lover boy, romantic guy. The second reason is the character Max (played by Shah Rukh) is a very charismatic character. Everybody wanted to play Max."

Mansoor talked about the hit film, which also features Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Chandrachur Singh, at a panel discussion of 18th Mumbai Film Festival with Star on Saturday here.

He also shared that even Kajol wanted to play SRK's character.

"When I offered Kajol the role of Shah Rukh's sister in the film, she listened to the script and said she wanted to do Max."

I’d love to be with someone special, says Parineeti Chopra

I'd love to be with someone special, says Parineeti Chopra

She looks like a million bucks. Parineeti Chopra also has an interesting line-up of films and several big brand endorsements in her kitty. The actor says she is in a `great place` workwise. However, Parineeti, who turns a year older on October 22, wishes to celebrate her birthday in a `special way` this year. `I am a birthday person. I am not modest about birthdays. I am shameless about gifts. I have got a bigger house only so that I can accommodate more gifts (laughs),`she says, talking about her love life, and more.

Do you like celebrating your birthday?
Yes, absolutely. From October 23, I start a countdown to my next birthday (laughs). The irony is that I don't celebrate my birthday in a big way. I just know that it is my day and that people will call me and send me presents. You get a lot of love on this day. This year though, since I have worked a lot and I plan to continue working, I will do something special. I will organise a party or go out, and dance and have fun with my friends.

Is this birthday special for you, as you have new films in your kitty after taking a break?
Yes, when it comes to work, I am in a great place. I am glad that I could finish one film, and have [signed] the next one already. We will announce another one soon. It is going to be busy a year, which is what I wanted. I have worked towards this. I have worked on my body, and I am charged up about the coming year. In fact, the last six months flew by. This birthday is going to be a good one.

You recently said that the only thing you will be quiet about is your personal life...
Three to four years ago, I used to think that if I have someone special in life, I will be open and I will tell people about it. That still remains true to a certain extent, as I won't hide it. At the same time, I won't flaunt it too. There's so much scrutiny. Relationships are overanalysed. I don't want that to happen to my relationships or my love life.

Is something happening on the romantic front?
Right now, there's nothing. However, I have opened my heart to a relationship. I want somebody to come into my life. So, hopefully, it should happen soon. I am putting out the message into the universe. With the kind of place I am in, emotionally and personally, I would love to be with someone [special].

What worries you the most vis-a-vis your personal life?
Since I am a public figure, my personal life will get written about, and that is bound to affect my relationships. That's why I want to be careful about it (talking about her private life). My personal life - be it my love life, kids or marriage, are of utmost importance to me. I don't want to get affected by the global scrutiny that every celebrity has to go through.

Your last release, Kill Dill (2014), didn't do well at the box office. Yet, you chose to take a break from films. Were you not worried?
The answer is no, because when I had taken that break, I knew why I was taking it. The break has helped me so much. I put in a lot of passion and hard work into what I do. Plus, the kind of response that I get for everything now - whether it is for photo shoots, brand endorsements or films - is so positive. That's because making an effort each working day. I think that was missing in my life two-three years ago. Maybe, I wanted to give more, but I wasn't able to. The break has recharged me.

Do you feel positive about yourself after your makeover?
I feel really good, happy and positive about myself. It's not just because of my physical transformation, but because I feel healthier, I have more stamina. I feel fresher when I wake up and feel happy with my work. I guess that's showing, and I want to maintain this. It's a result of everything that I do, whether it's a photo shoot, an ad or a film; I can see the difference.

It takes a lot of courage to take a break at the start of your career...
It's a huge mark of strength. And honestly, I give credit to myself that I decided to take a break when I should have done more films. My intentions behind the break worked out well. I wanted to feel better and was tired of working every single day. Whatever I have done in the past year has been accepted. Even though I took a break, the flow of offers for films and ads have been the same. It only means that I must have earned people's goodwill in those two years. Otherwise, actors are written off in a jiffy. Touchwood, that hasn't happened.

Your parents must be proud that you have bought a house in Mumbai?
Buying a house in Mumbai is a big thing. People joke about it, saying things like, `Main ek din ghar banaunga yahaan (I will build a house here).` I am so thankful that I have got my own house. It's my space and I own it. I have lived in a rented place for the longest time - for five years. My parents also feel that I have achieved something. It's a proud feeling.

MS Dhoni biopic to emerge as one of the biggest opener of the year

The Untold Story will get one of the widest releases in 4,500 screens across 60 countries, according to its makers.

MS Dhoni: The Untold Story, the upcoming Bollywood biopic on the country's star cricketer-skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni, will get one of the widest releases in 4,500 screens across 60 countries, according to its makers.

Vijay Singh, CEO of Fox Star Studios, who are also producers of the biopic, said in a statement: "'MS Dhoni: The Untold Story' is going to be the widest release for any Indian film in India and internationally. It will also be the widest release for a Hindi film (dubbed) in Tamil and Telugu."

However, "given the unprecedented demand for the movie worldwide, and the deadlines to deliver the film in all the languages, the Punjabi and Marathi language release will not happen", Singh shared.

"The movie will be the biggest ever release in terms of screen count in India and simultaneously in 60 international countries too, making it the widest (Indian) release worldwide," he added.

Arun Pandey, who has produced the Neeraj Pandey directorial under the Inspired Entertainment banner, is happy with the buzz around the movie, which stars Sushant Singh Rajput as the reel Dhoni.

"We are pleased to inform that the film will be the widest ever release for a film in India and worldwide with it releasing in 60 countries. We wanted to release our film in Marathi and Punjabi too. However, given the deadline to make the widest ever release happen in the history of Indian cinema, we are not being able to get the Marathi and the Punjabi versions ready in time."

"This is the first time a movie is releasing so wide, so we were not able to calculate the physical time it takes to make all the dubs happen," Arun Pandey explained. The film will hit the screens on September 30, and is one of the much-awaited movies of this year.

Check Out: Who is world's highest paid actor?

Check Out: Who is world's highest paid actor?

Bollywood stars Shah Rukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar are among the world's highest paid actors of 2016, raking as many dollars as Hollywood heavyweights Robert Downey Jr and Brad Pitt, according to a Forbes list topped by wrestler-turned-actor Dwayne Johnson.

Shah Rukh, whose repertoire contains films from 'Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge' to 'Chak De India', is ranked 8th on the list of 20 of the 'World's Highest Paid Actors 2016', tied with 'Iron Man' Downey Jr with earnings of USD 33 million.

Akshay is tied with Hollywood heartthrob Pitt for the 10th position with earnings of USD 31.5 million. 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' Salman is ranked 14th on the list with earnings of USD 28.5 million, ahead of Oscar-winning actor Leonardo Dicaprio, who is ranked 15th with earnings of USD 27 million and 'Independence Day' star Will Smith who comes in on the 17th spot with USD 20.5 million.

Bachchan is on the 18th rank with earnings of USD 20 million, ahead of Oscar-winner Matthew McConaughey (19) and 'Star Wars' legend Harrison Ford (20).

The list of the top-earning actors comes days after Forbes released the list of the highest-paid actresses in the world.

Deepika Padukone, 30, made her debut among world's top 10 highest paid actresses, with earnings of USD 10 million. She was the only Indian actress and the sole newcomer in the list, coming in on the 10th spot.

Noting the gender pay gap in the Indian movie industry, "a discrepancy not uncommon in Hollywood", Forbes had said though a Indian male star might earn close to USD 5 million a movie, prominent Indian actresses rarely clear USD 1 million a film.

Apart from earning more, men in movies also have longer careers than the top-earning women, Forbes said adding that 95 per cent of the highest-paid actors are over 40, compared with half of the actresses.

In Forbes' rankings, all of the highest-paid actresses are under 50, while 45 per cent of the actors are 50-plus, with Ford and Bachchan in their 70s.

On Shah Rukh Khan, Forbes said he continues to rule Bollywood box office, and earns multimillion-dollars upfront fees and a cut of the back end for his efforts.

"He also cashes in on endorsement deals for dozes of brands most Americans have likely never heard of," it said.

Akshay banked top rupee for his hit films. "The action star bolsters his earnings endorsing a wider range of products than most Hollywood shills," Forbes said.

It described the 'Sultan' superstar as "one of Bollywood's leading men," who makes top rupee from films such as 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' and numerous endorsements.

Forbes also noted Salman's 2015 sentence of five years, which was later suspended, in a hit-and-run case.

On Bachchan, Forbes said the 73-year-old is "busy as ever" and the stalwart has starred in more than 150 movies in a career that spans five decades.

Johnson, also known as 'The Rock', elbowed out reigning Downey Jr to become the world's highest-paid actor and scored his biggest ever annual paycheck in the process.

Johnson's USD 64.5 million payday more than doubled his 2015 earnings, making him this year's biggest dollar gainer, Forbes said.

The erstwhile wrestler's millions came from upfront fees for movies including 'Central Intelligence' and 'Fast 8', as well as the forthcoming Baywatch.

He bested second-ranked Jackie Chan (USD 61 million), who mints money with movies in China, and Matt Damon (3), who tallied USD 55 million largely off the success of 'The Martian'.

Rounding out the top five is perennial list member Tom Cruise at the number four spot with earnings of USD 53 million dollars and Johnny Depp at the fifth with USD 48 million.

Forbes said the gender pay gap persists "almost universally".

The world's highest-paid actress, Jennifer Lawrence (USD 46 million), earned 71 per cent of Johnson's USD 64.5 million.

That ratio is a little lower than the 79 cents a white woman is typically paid to every dollar a white man makes, but better than the pay disparity Hispanic or Black women typically face.

"There are simply more big budget roles for men that pay the high fees and cut of profits needed to score multimillion take-homes. In fact, there are more roles for men," it said.

Combined, the world's 20 highest-paid actors earned a whopping USD 703.5 million between June 2015-2016, before management fees and taxes.

The figure is more than three times the USD 205 million tallied by the top 10 highest-paid actresses in the same time frame.

Here is the list of the world's top 10 highest paid actors

Dwayne Johnson- USD 64,500,000

Jackie Chan- USD 61,000,000

Matt Damon - USD 55,000,000

Tom Cruise - USD 53,000,000

Johnny Depp- USD 48,000,000

Ben Affleck- USD 43,000,000

Vin Diesel- USD 35,000,000

Shah Rukh Khan- USD 33,000,000

Robert Downey Jr.- USD 33,000,000

Akshay Kumar- USD 31,500,000

Box office: 'Sultan' rakes in Rs. 180 crore in five days

Box office: 'Sultan' rakes in Rs. 180 crore in five days

Salman Khan-starrer Sultan mints Rs 180.36 crore in five days; poised to shatter lifetime figures of his last two blockbusters

He has done it in the past and he's at it again. Salman Khan is changing the mathematics at the box office with his new release, 'Sultan'. The wrestling drama co-starring Anushka Sharma, which hit screens on the eve of Eid, ended its first weekend figures at Rs 180.36 crore.

So far, this is his best opener and tenth film since 'Dabangg' (2010) to hit the Rs 100-crore jackpot, not to mention, the biggest hit of 2016.

In the overseas market, the Ali Abbas Zafar film has also done phenomenal business with a major chunk of revenue coming in from the Gulf countries. A mid-week release worked to Sultan's advantage, helping it maintain an average daily business of nearly Rs 36 crore although it could not break the opening day collection record of Rs 44.97 crore held by Shah Rukh Khan's 'Happy New Year' (2014).

Trade experts expected the film to make Rs 150-160 crore by Sunday, but the audience response has taken them by surprise. "To say Sultan has proved to be a box office juggernaut will be an understatement. The film should comfortably reach the Rs 200-crore mark by the end of its sixth day (Monday), thereby, becoming the fastest money-spinner in the history of Bollywood. It has done exceptionally well overseas too. One has to see if it can touch Rs 350 crore and become the biggest blockbuster of all time," says trade guru Amod Mehra.

Trade pundit Taran Adarsh says Salman has raised the bar for Hindi film business and surpassed the lifetime business of several BO biggies in just five days. "Even if you took Sultan's three-day collections into account (Rs 105.34 crore), you will see it has beaten the collections of his last two releases - 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' (Rs 102.60 crore) and 'Prem Ratan Dhan Payo' (Rs 101.47 crore) - over the same time period. 'Sultan' is, clearly, smashing records, and seems set to cross Rs 200 crore. However, now one has to wait and watch if it can cruise past Bajrangi's lifetime numbers and emerge as Salman's biggest hit," he adds.

Salman's top grossers

'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' (2015) - Rs 320.48 cr
'Kick' (2014) - Rs 233.8 cr
'Prem Ratan Dhan Payo' (2015) - Rs 207.40 cr
'Ek Tha Tiger' (2012) - Rs 198 cr
'Dabangg 2' (2012) - Rs 158.4 cr
'Bodyguard' (2011) - Rs 142 cr
'Dabangg' (2010) - Rs 138.88 cr
'Ready' (2011) - Rs 120 cr

Bollywood's all time biggest

'pk' (2014) - Rs 340.6 cr
'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' (2015) - Rs 320.48 cr
'Dhoom 3' (2013) - Rs 286.03 cr
'Krrish 3' (2013) - Rs 244.3 cr

At a time when actors are giving maximum attention to fitness, Varun Dhawan says he idolises superstar Akshay Kumar.

"I think there was a phase of six and eight pack abs but now it is back to a phase where health is important. Look at Akshay Kumar, he has been fit for so many years despite injuries," Varun told reporters here at an event of his upcoming film "Dishoom".

Varun says he wishes to be as fit as Akshay when he grows old.

"Akshay has tremendous fitness level. I wish when I grow that old if I can be that fit then it will be great." His "Dishoom" co-star John Abraham was also present at the event, where the duo shared some fitness tips.

"One should dedicate at least an hour to fitness, be it Yoga or anything else. Working out shouldn't tire you, it should rejuvenate you. One needs to be fit and flexible," he said.

The 29-year-old actor said his director father David Dhawan wasn't too much into fitness but things seem to be changing now.

"The most difficult person to get to the gym is my dad. He just doesn't listen to anybody. When I started threatening him about if he wants to see his grand children or not (that) is when he started going to gym. He goes for walk and it is good thing," he added.

"I don't have a strict diet as my metabolism is too high. Pizza and brownie with ice-cream is my weakness."

He also revealed actress Parineeti Chopra has a special number in 'Dishoom'.

"The song will be out on July 12. One tip I received from John was to have honey. Once she (Parineeti) was feeling weak and I gave her honey," Varun said when asked about giving fitness tips to Parineeti.

Directed by Rohit Dhawan, 'Dishoom' opens in cinema houses on July 29.

'Shorgul' release date shifted back to June 24

'Shorgul' release date shifted back to June 24
Thursday, June 16, 2016 16:00 IST
By Santa Banta News Network
'Shorgul' will now release on June 24 instead of June 17.

A 24 FPS Films Production, the Jimmy Sheirgill and Ashutosh Rana-starrer is based on intolerance and aspires to make audiences contemplate where humanity stands amidst the noise of religious, social, political and economic prejudice.

The makers of the film had advanced their release date by a week, but now the film's producer Swatantra Vijay Singh says he wants to avoid a clash with 'Udta Punjab', which is releasing on June 17, at the box office.

"We don't want this message to be lost when an equally socially relevant film like 'Udta Punjab' is releasing and hence, the rescheduling, as audiences need time to relate and consume such heavy-on content thinking films," Swatantra Vijay Singh said in a statement.

"Our film has a strong message that comes in the form of a wake-up call for the masses to be the change they always wanted to see. This is a film that makes us think. Our film reinstates the gross reality of today where the voice of the common man is being manipulated to favour socio-political motives," he added.

Also featuring Sanjay Suri, Narendra Jha, Hiten Tejwani, Eijaz Khan, Suha Gezen, Anirudh Dave and Deepraj Rana, 'Shorgul' will touch upon grave subjects that have transpired in the recent past such as Muzaffarnagar, Godhra, Babri Masjid riots apart from making references to bureaucratic misdoings, mind games and controversial master strokes of some high profile dignitaries.

Co-directed by Jitendra Tiwari and P. Singh, the lyrics have been penned by senior Congress leader Kapil Sibal.

Shah Rukh Khan: I'm an over indulgent father

Shah Rukh Khan: I'm an over indulgent father

Shah Rukh Khan might be known as a doting father to his three kids but the superstar believes he indulges them more than needed.

The 50-year-old actor says he is a proud father to Aryan, 19, Suhana, 16 and toddler AbRam, who celebrated his third birthday last week.

From taking the little one to IPL matches to playing host to his daughter's friends, SRK's love for his children is not hidden from his fans and the actor says he loves to spoil the kids.

"I am a very indulgent father. In fact, I am over indulgent. I spoil them a lot," the "Fan" told reporters here at the launch of KidZania, a global indoor theme park. The Delhi/NCR branch of KidZania comes three years after Shah Rukh launched the park in Ghatkopar in Mumbai. The Bollywood star co-owns the theme park.

When asked whether AbRam is fond of rides and if the actor would bring him to KidZania, Shah Rukh said, "I think AbRam would love to come here. When I thought of making this (KidZania), I wanted to do it for my kids but by the time it got made, they grew up. So, now, I would love to get AbRam here. But first I will take him to the Ghatkopar one."

For the actor, bringing such an experience for kids to India is a matter of pride and he said this endevour stands as most special among all the ventures that he has forayed into.

"I am very proud of this. The Mumbai one has been doing great and that encouraged me to bring KidZania to Delhi/NCR.

In fact, this one is far bigger than the other park. I am sure kids and families will love it.

"Out of everything that I have ever done, this is what I am most proud of, that I have done something for children."

Shah Rukh intends to open the park in Chennai, Benguluru and of course Kolkata, a city the "Dilwale" star shares a special bond with.

"We will take it to Chennai and Benguluru and Kolkata too... The process takes time as we need a huge place and its entrance and exit should be safe for kids.

"Also training of the staff is an important task as families will leave their children with the people here. But these are long term plans which we will fulfill slowly and gradually."

Shah Rukh added he wants KidZania to be affordable for all stratas of society and has joined hands with a couple of NGOs to enable children from poor families experience KidZania.

The "Chennai Express" star arrived at the launch in style, walking the ramp with a few kids, who were dressed in their future dream avatars. He also interacted with them, answering their questions about his childhood and his dreams as a child.

During the endearing interaction, Shah Rukh revealed that as a child he wanted to become either an army officer or a teacher.

Concluding the event on a filmy note, Bollywood's romance king mouthed dialogues from his 2012 drama "Jab Tak Hai Jaan" as young girls and women cheered on and also obliged his male fans in the crowd by speaking a few lines from the teaser of his upcoming action thriller "Raees".

Vidya Balan: I get drawn to real life stories

Vidya Balan: I get drawn to real life stories

National award-winning actress Vidya Balan, who is making her debut in Marathi film with 'Ekk Albela', says she does get attracted to real life stories.

In "Ekk Albela", Vidya essays the role of late actress Geeta Bali.

"This is not a biopic on Geeta ji (Geeta Bali). I won't claim to even have (made a biopic)... You don't see all shades of her, you will see Geeta ji the star and see me recreating her songs.

"I do get drawn to real life stories and which is why I liked the 'Bhagwan Dada' biopic," the 38-year-old actress told reporters at the song launch event of "Ekk Albela" last evening here.

The "Paa" actress is open to do a biopic on Bali but says she will have to put in lot of work on the looks.

"In case of Silk Smitha in 'The Dirty Picture', I had to use my imagination and to play Geeta ji (Geeta Bali) I had to watch her videos," she said.

"I have tried to imbibe some mannerisms of her (Geeta Bali) in the dancing portions specially. I think it's way easier if you don't know the person. When you know the person you don't know what all to pick up," she added.

In "Ekk Albela", Vidya had insisted its makers to include singer Lata Mangeshkar's famous song 'Shaam Dhale Khidki Tale' from "Albela" in it.

Vidya was nervous while doing the song on screen.

"She (Geeta Bali) played with her eyes, face, hands, her fingers spoke so much, she used her wrist beautifully. Most of the shots are close up, so what I realised is that the smile, face all of that was something that charmed," she said.

"So I wasn't nervous about dance but expressions are form of dance. I focused on that. The choreographer was also saying that no Vidya Balan...Geeta Bali," she added. The "Parineeta" actress reveals her producer husband Siddharth Roy Kapur's passion is to have lot of old film posters.

"He has 60-70 posters and that keeps changing. But since the time we have got married we have not changed one poster and that is of 'Albela'," she said.

"And Bhagwan Dada has learnt dance from Siddharth's grandfather (who) was a pioneer in bringing western dance to India. I think I was meant to do this," she added. The noted actor-director Bhagwan Dada died in poverty and most of his associates deserted him.

When asked if it is sad state of affairs in Bollywood that when a star loses his charm there is no one to look after him, Vidya says, "we have heard lot of stories of yesteryear stars that are disheartening.

"I don't think it's a phenomenon unique to only Hindi or Indian cinema. It happens world over and it is very unfortunate," she said.
