Did Karan skip 'Hate Story 3' promotions for Bipasha?

Did Karan skip 'Hate Story 3' promotions for Bipasha?

Karan Singh Grover leaves promotions for his film, 'Hate Story 3' at Jaipur mid-way, flies back to Mumbai to be with 'special friend' Bipasha Basu

Within moments of landing in Jaipur from Mumbai on Thursday, Karan Singh Grover made a quick U turn and took the next available flight back to Mumbai. Reason? The actor was missing his 'special friend' Bipasha Basu, who was believed to be apparently under the weather.

Karan was in the Pink City along with co-stars Sharman Joshi, Zareen Khan and Daisy Shah and director Vishal Pandya for the promotion of their film, 'Hate Story 3'.

If the grapevine is to be believed, Karan apparently did not inform the rest of the unit that he was taking off. They realised it much later that he was back at the airport waiting to board a flight to Mumbai.

Says a source, "As soon as the unit reached the hotel, they dispersed to their rooms to get ready for a promotional event. But Karan told them he had some work and disappeared. They assumed that he had stepped out for a while, but later they realised that he was on a flight back to Mumbai. They then continued with the promotional activities sans him."

Adds the source, "Karan appeared to be pre-occupied and relunctant to be part of the promotional activities.

Moreover, when he realised that the hairdresser who had accidentally dropped a hot tong and burnt Bipasha's face and hands while doing her hair for a shoot recently, was part of the 'Hate Story 3' trip to Jaipur, he saw red. His behaviour made it clear that he was not happy to have her in their midst."

On November 27, Bipasha had tweeted, "Started my day of shoot with multiple burns on my face and hands by a so called senior hair stylist. She did not even flinch after dropping the tong. Inhuman. Think she came drunk to work. Unbelievable!" Karan remained unavailable for comment.

Kareena performs a super bold act

Mind Blowing: Kareena performs a super bold act

Actress Kareena Kapoor Khan has shot for a song for R. Balki's "Ki and Ka" wearing a Manish Malhotra-designed lehenga which weighs over 30 kg.

A source knowledgeable about the development said: "Though Kareena sports a completely western look throughout the film, she didn't want to disappoint her fans and hence went completely Indian for the song in 'Ki And Ka'. Her lehenga weighs over 32 kg and is designed by close friend Manish Malhotra."

The lehenga, which is said to be adorned with heavy zardosi work on several layers of net, was donned by the "Jab We Met" actress for a song choreographed by Bosco. She shot for the number over two days at a suburban studio here.

"Kareena shot in this heavy lehenga in the scorching heat for over two days and wowed everyone with her ability to maintain her cool despite the challenging outfit and temperature," the source added.

"Ki and Ka" also features Arjun Kapoor.

OMG!Hotness quotient to get doubled with Sunny's Mastizaade

OMG!Hotness quotient to get doubled with Sunny's Mastizaade

Sunny Leone is joining the bandwagon of actresses to play double roles in Bollywood. In her upcoming sex comedy 'Mastizaade', Sunny Leone will be seen essaying two characters sexy Laila and nerdy Lily.

Speaking about the roles, Sunny said, "This is the first time that I am playing twins - one is nerdy, while the other is sexy. I found that to be a great idea as India sees me more as Laila, but I'm actually nerdy - like Lily is - in real life. Maybe that's why Lily is closer to my heart because I got to act out a character that is closer to my personality. It is challenging playing two roles in a film but I enjoyed it very much. I believe that is because of Milap (Zaveri) and Rangita (Nandy) my producer. They made shooting so much fun that I didn't see it as a pain to be two characters in one day."

The actress had a wonderful time shooting for the film with her co-stars Tusshar Kapoor, Vir Das and Riteish Deshmukh in Thailand. She added, "Every single day was funny and the entire cast would always be together all day and for our dinners. It was such a nice experience to get to know everyone like this!"

Fans are definitely excited to see this new avatar of Sunny! Here's wishing her luck for 'Mastizaade'

Kajol in 'comfort zone' with 'Dilwale'

Kajol in 'comfort zone' with 'Dilwale'

One of Bollywood's most loved actresses, Kajol, who will be back on the big screen with "Dilwale", says she was in a "comfort zone" working with Shah Rukh Khan and director Rohit Shetty, and that she chose the film for its "unpredictable" element.

Asked about what made her say 'yes' to the film, considering that she is often quite "choosy" when it comes to selecting her movies, Kajol said: "I wanted to do something which is unpredictable...and this film is definitely not predictable. I wanted to do something that I have not done before and I really liked the role and character in this film."

The fact that it has Shah Rukh as a co-actor and Rohit Shetty as a director made it her "comfort zone", she said. "I think that matters a lot. I think that made a difference."

Kajol spoke during an exclusive media interaction with select scribes at the Ramoji Film City, where the last leg of Rohit Shetty's directorial is being shot.

Bollywood buffs are looking forward to the film, given Kajol and Shah Rukh's roaring onscreen chemistry, a proof of which lies in films from "Baazigar" to "Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge" to "My Name Is Khan". Together, they have made people believe in the magic of love.

The actress says working with Shah Rukh, who is also one of her closest friends in the industry, is not only a joy, but also a learning process.

Kajol was asked to describe how she and SRK have changed as individuals from the time they worked together in 1993 released film "Baazigar" till now.

A lot, she said.

"I think I have changed for better and we have become better people and better actors today. As far as Shah Rukh is concerned, he is such a technically superior actor. He is one of the best actors we have today.

"Every time I work with him, I learn more and more from him. I learn more from watching him, working with him -- whether it is technically or emotionally. Working with him is pleasure, joy and a learning process," added Kajol, who promises to steal the thunder once again with her onscreen chemistry with the actor in "Dilwale".

The team's cast and crew was present here for a meet-and-greet with select media persons, who were given a chance to witness the shooting of the film at Ramoji Film City.

They also gave a sneak peek into what's in store in "Dilwale", which is produced by Red Chillies Entertainment, via a 20-minute video footage, which suggested that there will be dollops of romance, comedy and action in the upcoming entertainer. Also featuring Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon, "Dilwale" is set to release on December 18.

SRK's astonishing birthday resolution

Revealed: SRK's astonishing birthday resolution

For over two decades, the magic of his acting, persona and charm has regaled Bollywood buffs, and the saga continues. Shah Rukh Khan, who turns 50 on November 2, said that last year he was a little lazy by just doing one film. But now, the superstar says he has pledged to do three films in a year on an average as soon as he completes the first half century of his life.

"I want to do as many films as possible before I die," the 49-year-old said on a light note to a few invited media representatives on the sets of "Dilwale" at Ramoji Film City here.

"It has been four to five years that I have become producer... we made 'Chennai Express', 'Happy New Year', 'Om Shanti Om' and they took a lot of time. I started feeling that in the last one year, I am not doing much films that I can actually do. I am just doing one film in a year, and I'm feeling lazy."

"I want to do different roles. So, I decided that from the age of 50-55, I want to do 15 very nice films and that will include popular films, offbeat films, mad films and many more. I will do many different films. I want to do three films a year. Ek film mein mann ke liye karna chahta hu, ek tann ke liye aur ek dhan ke liye (I want to do one film for the mind, one for my physical capability and one for money)," he added.

Directed by Rohit Shetty, "Dilwale", produced by Red Chillies Entertainment, will see the magical pair of Shah Rukh and Kajol coming together again on the silver screen, and recreating their onscreen chemistry.

A dekko of that was given to the scribes invited to the set, which seemed like it's being used as SRK's home in the movie. The walls had photographs of the 'Badshah' of Bollywood, with Varun Dhawan, who plays a key character in the film.

Shah Rukh, along with other cast members of the film, offered a sneak peak into the film with a 20 -minute video footage.

It created a long-lasting impact with scenes that included a song sequence shot with SRK and Kajol in Iceland; an action sequence of SRK; few comic scenes involving Johnny Lever, Sudhir Mishra and Varun Sharma, and of course, scenes and songs featuring Varun and Kriti Sanon.

The team has been shooting the last leg of the film in Hyderabad for a month.

A Sad End: TV couples who went through messy break-ups

A Sad End: TV couples who went through messy break-ups

Celebrity break-ups may be commonplace, but these television actor-couples left their fans perplexed by calling time on their relationship

If you thought that drama unfolds only on a television set, personal turmoil of small screen stars will send you into a tizzy. Television actor-couples have a lot going on in their lives that could make for an exciting soap opera.

Ankit Gera and Roopal Tyagi

Take Ankit Gera and Roopal Tyagi, for instance. Ankit, who was evicted from the 'Bigg Boss Nau' house on Sunday, was dating Roopal and Adaa Khan simultaneously two years ago. When the girls found out, they dumped him. Roopal and Ankit came face-to-face in the 'Bigg Boss 9' house, but reconciliation was definitely not on their mind. The frost between them was hard to ignore.

Hitlist tells you about other couples who have had messy break-ups.

Divyanka Tripathi and Ssharad Malhotra

Many considered their match as one made in heaven, certain that their relationship will stand the test of time. However, destiny had other plans. Just when everyone was expecting them to get hitched, stories surfaced about the couple parting ways. Divyanka eventually accepted that Ssharad and she were no longer together for reasons that are still unclear. There were rumours that it was Ssharad's infidelity that pushed Divyanka to call it off.

Daljeet Kaur and Shaleen Bhanot

The duo shot to fame after participating in couple dance reality show 'Nach Baliye'. After being together for five years and being blessed with a baby boy, they decided to call it quits. It was allegedly Shaleen's abusive behaviour towards Daljeet that led her to walk out of their house. The actress also filed a police complaint against the actor citing domestic violence and mental torture.

Kushal Tandon and Gauahar Khan

The 'Bigg Boss' house is known to make or break relationships and this couple falls in the former category. The two began dating on the reality show and soon after exiting the house, signed up for another action-based reality show. Months later, it was reported that Kushal and Gauahar had broken up. Reason? Apparently, she pressurised him to change his religious beliefs. Post the break up, Kushal tweeted, "There is nothing called gaushal guys m sorry to break the news ... Gauahar n I r no more together ...love and peace (sic)."

Karan Singh Grover and Jennifer Winget

The actor's philandering ways have often been spoken about. Before marrying Jennifer Winget, Karan was married to actress Shraddha Nigam. The couple divorced within 10 months apparently due to his passing fling with 'Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa' choreographer Nicole Alvares. Post marriage with Jennifer Winget, friends and family confessed that the actor had found stability in life. However, a few months into his second marriage, rumours about trouble in paradise began doing the rounds. Those in the know said that Jennifer Winget began living separately for things to settle down, but to no avail. When family and friends tried to intervene, Karan categorically told that them that he doesn't believe in the institution of marriage and wants to be a free bird. He is said to be in a relationship with 'Alone' co-star, Bipasha Basu at the moment.

Karan Patel and Kamya Punjabi

Although the two never admitted to their relationship publicly, they were evidently in love. In fact, the actor's friends felt that Kamya had made Karan a better person. The actress' failed first marriage also didn't come in the way of their relationship. However, earlier this year, reports of Karan's engagement with television actress Ankita Bhargava broke out, Kamya was rumoured to have been heartbroken. On his part, the actor denied ever being in a relationship with Kamya, calling her "just a friend".

OMG! Shraddha Kapoor injured

OMG! Shraddha Kapoor injured

Young actress Shraddha Kapoor recently headed to Shillong to kick start the shoot of her film, Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar's Rock On 2.

The actress, who was super excited to start shoot for the film, had to return back home because of a sudden eye injury.

While in Shillong, the actress developed an eye injury which kept getting worse with time.

The actress was taken to an eye doctor in Shillong itself and found out that there was a scratch in the cornea of her eye.

When the pain kept increasing, producer of the film Ritesh Sidhwani asked the actress to fly back to Mumbai and get it checked and even rest for a couple of days.

As soon as Shraddha landed at the Mumbai airport, she headed straight to her eye doctor.

She is doing better now and is expected to resume shoot in a couple of days.

Shraddha Kapoor added "Something flew in to my eye and caused it immense pain. Once checked by an eye specialist in Shillong, we came to know that it had caused a scratch in my cornea, so it was an internal injury which needed extra care and attention. Luckily I wasn't going to be filming for a few days so I was able to come back to Mumbai to get it checked up by my eye doctor. I will join the team of Rock On 2 again shortly. "

Shahid and Saif to start shooting for 'Rangoon'

Shahid and Saif to start shooting for 'Rangoon'

Shahid Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan are all set to begin filming the first schedule of Vishal Bhardwaj's upcoming film, 'Rangoon' in Arunachal Pradesh.

A source says, "There is a lot of buzz around the film considering that Shahid and Saif are a part of it (Shahid was in a relationship with Saif's wife, Kareena Kapoor Khan). We are soon going to Arunachal Pradesh to film a few scenes. It will be interesting to see their on-screen chemistry."

"Kangana Ranaut, who plays the leading lady in this love story set in the World War era, is expected to join us a little later," adds the source.

Since their break-up Shahid and Kareena have preferred to keep a distance from each other. Another source says, "Getting the two actors together for a film was a big casting coup.

However, they have so far been cordial with each other. Even when Saif visited the set of a reality show where Shahid was one of the judges, the two maintained safe distance but were eventually seen chatting. Now, we hope that there won't be any issues between them while working on the film, considering their roles are very different."

Vishal Bhardwaj remained unavailable for comment.

Why is Ileana mum about starring in 'Kung Fu Yoga'?

Why is Ileana mum about starring in 'Kung Fu Yoga'?

Ileana D'Cruz does not like to talk about her films till they are ready for the marquee.

The 'Barfi!' (2012) and 'Main Tera Hero' (2014) actress seems to be following the self-imposed diktat with her next project too.

She is shooting in Dubai with Jackie Chan for 'Kung Fu Yoga'. The film also stars Sonu Sood, who has gone to town about it, but for Ileana, mum is the word.

Is Salman planning to remake another southern movie?

Is Salman planning to remake another southern movie?

Almost a fortnight ago, hitlist had reported about the possibility of Salman Khan adding another South movie remake to his oeuvre - a collaboration with AR Murugadoss. Now we hear the star has acquired the rights to Tamil action thriller 'Thani Oruvan', which released two months ago, to be made in Hindi.

Says a source, "It is a plot-driven film, which earned good money at box office. Salman Khan's production team liked the concept and after reading the script and conducting thorough research, they suggested that he acquire the rights for a remake."

'Thani Oruvan', which translates to 'The Lone Man' in English, revolves around a cop's relentless efforts to expose corrupt persons. It is said that Salman was pretty impressed with the story and has shelled out a whopping amount for the rights. The original directed by Mohan Raja had a powerful star cast comprising Arvind Swamy, Nayantara and Jayam Ravi.

Another source close to the production team says, "We have just acquired the rights and the casting is underway. We will begin shooting sometime next year.

There is a possibility that Salman might star in the film, but since he is currently working on 'Sultan', he will take a call on this project soon."

Salman Khan remained unavailable for comment.

Shocking Revelation! For Anushka, Virat is not her real love

Shocking Revelation! For Anushka, Virat is not her real love

During time off from the shoot of her film, 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil', which is currently being shot in Paris, Anushka Sharma visited the famous Love Lock bridge.

The site is known for lovers writing their names on a padlock, locking it to the fence and throwing away the key to ensure their love remains eternal.

Anushka, however, did not write her cricketer beau Virat Kohli's name on the padlock in the city of romance, but of her pet dog, Dude.

The actress wrote 'Anushka hearts Dude'. The pooch scores over Virat, for sure.

Shocking! Salman, Aamir - the new enemies had an ugly spat?

Shocking! Salman, Aamir - the new enemies had an ugly spat?

Although it is said that in Bollywood and politics there are neither friendship is permanents nor is the enmity. But there are a few such "BFF examples" which have not only set up examples but at the same time have re-defined the meaning of friendship.

And undoubtedly the one which Salman and Aamir share is one of the conspicuous example of the aforementioned fact.

But if recent reports published by one of the digital media portal are to be believed then they suggest that these days all is not well between these two most sought after Khans of Bollywood and they no longer share that warmth between themselves.

This media portal has also gone up till the extent of saying that Aamir and Salman's friendship has started developing cervices, and reportedly the reason for the same are their upcoming cine flicks Dangal and Sultan which share a stark resemblance with each other. On one hand it's Salman who is playing the character of a wrestler in Sultan whereas in Dangal it's Aamir who will be jumping into the Akhada. But that's not all...

As per the reporting medium things reached at lowest level between the two, when they reportedly had an ugly spat during a party hosted by Aamir at his Bandra residence. As per reports it all began in a happy environment where Aamir was seen heaping praises on Salman and his recently release cine flick Bajrangi Bhaijaan but things went worst when Aamir started dissecting the career choice of Salman. As per report Aamir told Salman that if he would have shown this kind of maturity at an early stage in his career, he would've had a lot of proud titles to look back upon and this comment wasn't taken lightly by Salman. Report also reveals that Aamir further claimed that it had all been too easy for Salman because he didn't have to worry about the story or screenplay as the audience lapped up his films and he didn't even work as hard as the other actors.

And then the entire hell break loose when Salman allegedly retaliated back with some not so pleasing remarks and stated that he might not be as hardworking as Aamir, but that he at least gave credit to the directors and writers of his films. The report also states that while leaving, Salman yelled out, calling Aamir a fake, and that things went ugly pretty quickly and a teary-eyed Aamir, along with everyone else, was left in a state of shock.

Well after seeing that stupendous camaraderie of Aamir and Salman though we find it difficult to believe that something of this sort may have happened at Aamir's party, but if it has happened then it is certainly one of the most disappointing news for the fans of both these heavy lifters of Bollywood. Now let's hope that this buzz turns out to be untrue and we see Salman and Aamir crushing these reports with heavy hands.

Mooch ado about wo-men: Bollywood actresses who dressed in drag

Mooch ado about wo-men: Bollywood actresses who dressed in drag

Donning a moustache, Alia Bhatt matches steps with co-star Shahid Kapoor in a song from their next 'Shaandaar'. Here's how other actresses in disguise rate on our entertainment meter...

In the second poster of Vikas Bahl's 'Shaandaar', lead pair Alia Bhatt and Shahid Kapoor were seen creating fake moustaches with the actress' tresses.

And when the first song of the film, 'Gulaabo', released recently, it all made sense. Dressed as a man with a pencil moustache, Alia matches steps with her co-star in the song and flirts with the bride (Sanah Kapur) in what appears to be a bachelor party at a barn. Though the actress looks nothing like a man, she does look cute as a button. With this, hitlist is tempted to pull out a list of a few other pretty faces who dressed in drag.

Sridevi
Rating: 9/10

The versatile actress did her take on 'Charlie Chaplin' in 'Mr India' (1987). Sri is a huge fan of the Hollywood icon and her performance in this landmark film continues to be remembered even three decades later.

Vidya Balan

Rating: 8/10

She has a penchant for getting into the skin of the character she essays and even promoting her films in reel persona. In 'Bobby Jasoos' (2014), Vidya played a detective and comfortably breezed in and out of several male disguises while cracking clues and chasing culprits. There was buzz that she was particularly fond of sporting beards. During the film's promotions, she landed at Hrithik Roshan's doorstep in male disguise, leaving him stumped - he mistook her for a beggar and she took it as a compliment.

Rani Mukerji
Rating: 5/10

The 2009 film 'Dil Bole Hadippa!' was centered around a young woman who pretends to be a man to join a men's cricket team and fulfil her dreams of playing the gentlemen's game, sort of forbidden for girls in her village. Her character, Veera, was shown donning a thin moustache to become Veer, who wins a crucial match for her country with big hits over the fence.

Raveena Tandon
Rating: 7/10

In the comic caper 'Ek Se Badhkar Ek' (2004), there is a bank robbery sequence in which Ravishing Ravs turned into a Sardar. Bearded and turbaned, the actress had Asrani for company to raise the guffaws.

Tanuja
Rating: 8/10

In the crime thriller 'Do Chor' (1972), Tanuja metamorphosed into a male thief whenever she needed some baubles. She specialised in only robbing jewellery. Now if you look at the picture closely, Tanuja looks uncannily similar to a younger version of her son-in-law, Ajay Devgn.

Babita
Rating: 6/10

The evergreen track Kajra Mohabbat Walla in 'Kismat' (1968) had Babita get jiggy as a guy while co-actor Biswajeet dressed up as a woman. This role reversal grabbed eyeballs for its novel approach to a romantic track.

Saira Banu
Rating: 8/10

In her debut flick 'Junglee' (1961) with Shammi Kapoor, the actress had a brief scene in a male get-up.

She turns an astrologer and advises her co-star to heed the call of the hills. Later, in 'Victoria No 203' (1973), she dressed as a Victoria driver.

Saira Banu in Victoria No 203

The film had a diamond heist as the backdrop and Saira looked convincing despite the ridiculous wig.

Madhubala
Rating: 5/10

In 'Raj Hath' (1956), the actress dressed up as man to enter into the enemy's side to unearth their secrets. The ethereal beauty's disarming smile could not be mistaken for a man's, no matter what.

Is It An Open Challenge? Salman claims he is better than SRK

Is It An Open Challenge? Salman claims he is better than SRK

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan believes he is a better singer in comparison to his contemporary Shah Rukh Khan.

At a promotional event of of Salman's upcoming home production 'Hero', singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, who has sung 'Yadaan Teriyaan', was asked this question and chose a safe reply. When asked who has better music sensibility -- Shah Rukh Khan or Salman Khan as he has collaborated with both of them, Rahat said, "I have heard only Salman Khan's song. I am yet to hear Shah Rukh Khan's song. Salman bhai can sing himself."

Salman, 49, interrupted the singer to say, "No chance ... it's a losing battle. Don't listen. He (Shah Rukh Khan) will raise my hand (in victory)."

The actor-producer said they wanted an established singer for the movie and chose Amaal Malik.

"I felt, why not take Amaal... He has the tune, he has composed the song (title song) well and he also sings well. If Himesh Reshamiya and Sajid Wajid can sing. His uncle (Anu Malik) also sings then why not him? He should get a chance," said Salman.

The 'Kick' star was all praise for another singer Palak Muchhal.

"Palak also sings well... She has an incredible voice.

She sang for 'Ek Tha Tiger'.. I make sure that she has something in my all films. If the song does well then new singers get chance ... it depends on tune," he said. "An idiot like me sung well ... I don't know sur (tune), beat but the song is getting so many hits. I used to repeat what the singers would sing and then sing," he added.
